Simone Origone raced to a top speed of 156.978mph (252.632 km/ph), beating
the previous world record set by himself last year.

An Italian has broken the world record in speed skiing by clocking more
than 156 mph.

Simone Origone raced to a top speed of 156.978mph (252.632 km/ph), beating
the previous world record set by himself last year.

The 35-year-old sped down the specially groomed Chabrieres piste in the
French resort of Vars.

And this isn't the only skiing record to have been broken lately.
