The company which runs the attraction sent its "deepest sympathies to those involved," but Disney have refused to commentFatal crash: Gary Terry of Davenport, Florida, has been named as the victim
A 36-year-old man has died at a luxury vehicle racing attraction in Disney Worldafter a fatal crash.
The victim, Gary Terry of Davenport, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the passenger when a Lamborghini crashed into railings at the Florida resort where driver Tavon Watson lost control of the vehicle before it crashed.
Visitors can pay £274 at the theme park to race six laps around a track in pricey vehicles, also including Porsches and Ferraris.
They would be accompanied by a professional driving instructor, but at this stage it is not yet clear if the victim was an employee or a customer.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital and is recovering from minor injuries.
A Disney spokeswoman declined to comment.
The attraction - named Exotic Driving Experience - is run by Petty Holdings.
A spokesman for the company said: "On behalf of everyone in the organisation, it is with a very heavy heart that we extend our deepest sympathies to those involved in today's tragic accident in Orlando."
The attraction is due to close this summer due to unrelated reasons.
