Cops are probing a threat allegedy made against the 61-year-old, real name Terry Bollea
Police in America are investigating a death threat made against wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.
The 12-time world champion, real name Terry Bollea, had been due to fly to Wrestlemania in San Jose, California, on March 26 when he received a frantic phone call from his wife, Jennifer McDaniel.
She explained that while waiting for her bags in the arrivals hall she was accosted by Hogan's former wrestling ally Scott Steiner.
During the confrontation he told her he would "kill Terry as soon as he lands".
Mrs Bollea did not recognize the wrestler, known at times as "Big Poppa Pump" for his inflated physique, and called Hogan.
The 61-year-old immediately flew out to San Jose where he filed a police complaint.
Officers are now reported to be investigating Steiner for "felony terrorist threats".
They have already seized CCTV of his confrontation with Mrs Bollea.
When approached about the allegation Steiner said: "Typical Hogan.
"He's just a punk."
The wrestler, 52, has been an outspoken critic of Hogan never hiding his dislike of him.
Steiner, whose real names is Scott Rechsteiner, blames him for the demise in WWE rival WCW where Scott and Hulk were allies.
